To whom it may concern,
1. Terminal in window mode, use htop, F10 doesn't work.
2. Press F11 to make the terminal full screen first then use htop, F10 works.
3. Use htop in terminal window first then press F11 to enter full screen, F10 doesn't work.
VirtualBox version: 6.1.36

If you are using the GNOME Desktop, have you tried switching to an 'X' session instead of the default Wayland?
if that doesn't help then please shut down the VM after you've seen the problem and then create a 'zipped' a copy of the VBox.log produced in your VirtualBox VMs/<vmname/>Logs Folder from that run. Attach the zipped file to your response using the Upload attachment Tab.

Solution:
Open the gnome-terminal and the Preferences
Disable the entry Enable the menu accelerator key (F10 by default)
It's not VirtualBox's issue at all.
