Fingerprint pass-through on Ubuntu guest?

Post by tyrannasaur »

Thank you. Do you know if host/guest extensions may allow for host fingerprints to pass through to the guest OS? Using a guest OS is the only way I've found to prevent Google Apps from getting my IP address while still having privacy.resistFingerprinting set to false in Firefox (needed for gitlab)

The only way I know of to pass a device like a fingerprint reader to the VM is if it is connected through USB. Per One issue per thread, this is a subject or another topic.

Thanks, I see that the fingerprint is not causing the IP to be readable to Google, so the VM is the best possible solution
