Linux Guest 6.1.26 6.1.22 (6.1.16 look fine) sound problem

Post by Osgpcq »

Hi,
We have some problems with the sound using chrome with youtube.com playing video and music.
Without a sound card, all is working fine, but with the sound card, we have every time problem displaying the video.

On the same Host Fedora32 (kernel 5.11.22-100) or Fedora34 (kernel ?) with VirtualBox 6.1.26r145957:
* If we use VM fedora32 with GA6.1.14 kernel 5.8.13-200 => all is working fine
* If we use VM fedora34 with GA6.1.26r145957 kernel 5.13.12-200 => problem is present.

Any suggestions ?

Best regards
Vince

Audio has been going through some changes. A vbox.log may help a guru to troubleshoot or help decide if a Bugtracker ticket should be opened.

Start the VM from full normal shutdown, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM's OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.

Right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show Log. Save the far left tab's log and the hardening log next to it, zip them, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.
