Hi,
I am running VirtualBox on a Ubuntu host, and my guest OS is Linux From Scratch (LFS). This boots only in a terminal. So my question: how can one increase the boot terminal resolution/size, after the VirtualBox Bios page, where the grub menu is displayed and when grub starts booting. Why is it always displayed in such a small terminal. Is it possible to increase the resolution for that terminal?
I do not have guest additions installed in LFS, and do not want to.
Thanks for any hints.

Re: Increase boot screen/terminal
I have seen Linux OS's alter the text screen size on the fly during boot. I don't know how Linux does this, though. Without Guest Additions I think the only way to do this would be by editing the configuration files inside the VM's OS.
Virtualbox has screen-size selections in the Virtualbox window's View menu. But these may need Guest Additions to operate.

/etc/default/grub
This is completely unrelated to VirtualBox, so the GAs are equally irrelevant.
