Error: "end kernel panic - not syncing attempted to kill init"
Error: "end kernel panic - not syncing attempted to kill init"
Hello,
I have looked through questions from people with similar error but couldn't find any that worked for me. I noticed it is required to add log and I have attached the logs here.
Thank you for your help in advance.

Re: Error: "end kernel panic - not syncing attempted to kill init"
I don't know if this is your only problem, but allocating RAM you don't have will not be helping matters.
00:00:14.045572 Host RAM: 16300MB (15.9GB) total, 8775MB (8.5GB) available
...
00:00:15.122236 RamSize <integer> = 0x000000028a100000 (10 906 238 976, 10 401 MB, 10.1 GB)
Re: Error: "end kernel panic - not syncing attempted to kill init"
Okay, I have reduced the allocated RAM but the error still persists.

Re: Error: "end kernel panic - not syncing attempted to kill init"
I'll need to see a new log showing that - and it will also need to be a complete (zipped) log, not a truncated log like the one above. Usually this is caused by grabbing the log while the VM is still running.
Re: Error: "end kernel panic - not syncing attempted to kill init"
Sorry, I am not sure which of the logs you need so I zipped everything. Kindly find attached.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Error: "end kernel panic - not syncing attempted to kill init"
One log is fine in future. The last log shows that you are still allocating RAM you don't have. Check what is hogging RAM on your host. In particular make sure that previous VMs are not still running.00:00:08.207677 Host RAM: 16300MB (15.9GB) total, 5411MB (5.2GB) available
...
00:00:08.578569 RamSize <integer> = 0x00000001a9c00000 (7 142 899 712, 6 812 MB, 6.6 GB)
You can put CPU count back to 2. Using all of the host cores is not ideal, but neither is running a modern OS on one core.
Re: Error: "end kernel panic - not syncing attempted to kill init"
Hello,
Let me give you information about the genesis of the issue. There was a force shut down on the system while I was running the virtual machine some weeks back. Ever since the system has refused to boot the Ubuntu on virtual machine. I have attached the new log.
Thanks.

Re: Error: "end kernel panic - not syncing attempted to kill init"
I know that mpack asked for only one log file, but he also meant the correct one (*).
(*) VBox.log, not VBoxHardening.log. If you have 5 files named like in the previous zip archive, look at the file sizes, and provide the newest of the 4 smaller files, which will probably be the second newest overall.
The log file doesn't matter, because the error is not VirtualBox specific. Google for the error message alone, and you'll find a lot of reports of this error. Just pretend that you're running the Linux installation on a real PC.

Sorry for the mix up. I hope this is correct.
