I'm trying to transfer a directory to a freshly installed Ubuntu 20.4 Desktop VM. I used the new File Manager to attempt to move the directory. I navigated to the directory I wanted to transfer from the host and to the directory I wanted to move it to on the guest, selected the directory, and clicked the "copy to guest" button. When doing so, I was immediately given an error:
Guest directory "/home/sumone/mc" already exists.
Result Code: VBOX_E_IPRT_ERROR (0x80BB0005)
Component: GuestSessionWrap
Interface: IGuestSession {3e14c189-4a75-437e-b0bb-7e7c90d0df2a}
I'm trying to copy the folder into the directory "/home/sumone/mc" to have the new path of the copied directory "/home/someone/mc/folder"
Host: Windows 10 Home, using AMD-V
Guest: Ubuntu Desktop 20.4 LTS freshly installed
Guest additions are installed
The host extension pack is installed
I am able to copy individual files, just not directories. I can also copy from the guest to the host without any issues with directories. I have tried both logging in as root, and as a normal user.

Tried that, and tried logging in with root. Neither worked. I've figured out that I can copy individual files, just not folders.scottgus1 wrote:Can you copy into a different folder?
