VM is Inaccessible [VBOX_E_OBJECT_IN_USE (0x80BB000C)]

Post by shiv24 »

Hi,
I could find several posts related to this error but the solutions mentioned are kind of not applicable for my case.

So, I have a host machine (OS: Ubuntu 20.04) having VirtualBox Version 6.1.18 r142142.
Installed VM is also Ubuntu 20.04, on which I have worked on Friday (Nov 26). There was a power outage on the weekend and when I tried to start the VM again on Monday, it said "Inaccessible".
Cannot attach medium '/mnt/data/virtual_machines/dd4hep_backup_2021_05_18/dd4hep_backup_2021_05_18-disk1.vdi' {ed8ba6a3-6464-4055-865b-7f9ce2e33802} from snapshot '1848c610-5b38-4eb0-92dd-7eb95f2ca5e5': medium is already in use by this snapshot!.
Result Code:
VBOX_E_OBJECT_IN_USE (0x80BB000C)
Component:
MediumWrap
Interface:
IMedium {ad47ad09-787b-44ab-b343-a082a3f2dfb1}
I checked this tag {ed8ba6a3-6464-4055-865b-7f9ce2e33802} is not repeated in .vbox file. I also tried a few things from other posts, but nothing worked, or I may be a novice to understand the things properly.
I have attached the .vbox and VirtualBox.xml files for any quick suggestions on the matter!!

Thanks,
S.T.
