A Linux VM on a Linux hosts is extremely slow while others arent

Post by renn0xtek9 »

I have a Linux host on which I have two VM 1 and 2. Two is actually originally a clone from 1. 2 is now extremely slow ( like a can reach session login screen but can't go further ).
As of the log, I don't understand what differ much between them

Here are info on 2

Well, you could compare the two texts, couldn't you?
In your case it's more important what's "the same". And same is the MAC address of your network card. When you cloned the VM, you didn't specify to change MAC addresses. If you run them at the same time, expect trouble.

Another troubling issue is in the "NeonWorking" one:

Where did you find those GAs? Why? They're really old.

We're going to need to see a VM log from a complete VM run from the slow VM:
  • Start the VM from cold-boot (not from a paused or saved state) / Observe error / Shutdown the VM (force close it if you have to).
  • With the VM completely shut down (not paused or saved), right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager and select "Show Log".
  • Save only the first "VBox.log", ZIP it and attach it to your response (see the "Upload attachment" tab below the reply form).
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
