I just installed Virtual Box and created a virtual High Sierra machine on my MacBook Pro running Catalina in order to run some 32-bit programs I need for my job.
The only resolution I can set on the virtual machine is 1024x768, but I'd like to increase it to 2560x1440, which is the native resolution of my monitor, so I can run it at full screen.
I've searched for how to do this, but I can only find solutions for virtual machines on windows.
Can anyone please tell me how to get a higher resolution on Mac?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Change resolution on virtual High Sierra machine
You can't run an OS X guest in fullscreen mode, nor seamless, nor can you make dynamic changes to the guest display size. All of those are features of the Guest Additions graphics drivers (chapter 4), which don't exist for OS X guests. All you have is basic EFI BIOS graphics modes, and be aware that those are not accelerated, so take care with that display size.
