UEFI on ISO boot.

Post by SomethingGrandPa »

I didn't know a better way to say the title, but basically every time I attempt to boot from my Mojave10.14.5.iso file I am put into the UEFI Interactive shell. I've followed many guides on trying to fix this but nothing works. I add an APFS iso file to try and allow the virtual machine to read the Mojave bootloader, but it does nothing. I don't know where to go from here. Also, when I attempt to edit the startup.nsh file it tells me that my access is denied which doesn't make any sense in comparison to seeing countless guides just making it work somehow. Yes, I know you can type exit and look at the boot settings, but I've been trying to figure out a way to make that work for over 3 hours and I feel ready to give up.

Please provide a VM log file. With the VM fully shut down, right click it in the GUI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

Sorry I instinctively made them .rar files. I also went to bed right after posting.

Those are both log files, but I think one is with the apfs files and the other is not.

OSX guests are only supported on Apple hardware (which you do not have). I recently made the "OSX guests on non-Apple hardware" a Global post, which means it shows as first on every forum area, makes me wonder how come you missed it...

Also, consider changing your favorite internet search engine. There should be plenty of results about this issue on these forums (all of them locked, hoping that someone will get the hint), but the search engine you're using now, does not seem to return any results for some reason.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
