Keyboard and mouse integration not working

Post by obiwanjacobi »

Hi,
Looked at numerous posts here on this subject but I cannot find the solution.
I have a Mac image that is starting/booting just fine but when the mouse is captured by VB, no pointer is moving and no keyboard strokes register with the guest OS.
I am following [ModEdit; Hackintosh reference removed]

I installed VB 5.2.20 (r125813) and the GA of that same version, all freshly downloaded from the site.
I uninstalled Hyper-V, because I read that it grabs the VT-x, although I think with "bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off" you can turn that off...? Anyway, it's gone.

I am not sure what else to try and could use some 'inspiration'.
I already attached the VB file and the logs - I see that is requested in many of this type of issues.

Unfortunately OSX guests are only supported on Apple hardware (which you do not have). See: Important notice regarding Mac OS X as Guest.

Also, consider changing your favorite internet search engine. There should be plenty of results about this issue on these forums (all of them locked, hoping that someone will get the hint), but the search engine you're using now, does not seem to return any results for some reason.

Moving to "OSX Guests" from "Windows Hosts".
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
