I believe you need to register the Virtual installation, i.e. register it as a new Device against your AppleID (or set up another AppleID) before you can use the Store or any other Apple service provided via your Account.

Yes and no, the process is mostly automated, when you connect from a new device, on all previously registered devices you get a window asking if you allow the new device to use the account.

I already have 3 Macs and one iPad, all share the same iCloud settings, and everything works as expected.

Yes. They asked me to run some diagnosis tools, I sent them the logs, no further reactions. If you do not know the problem, try to install VirtualBox on a fresh 10.13.

Maybe. But given previous experience with them, and given that Parallels (which they more or less support) is able to access the identity resources, I doubt they'll consider to be their problem and blame VirtualBox

If there is a solution, I better trust the community to find it, than Apple.

FWIW, I was not able to login to my iCloud account either from a 10.11.6 VM (same exactly as my host). I run "System Information" on both, and here are the differences:

NOTE: The serial number that I had for the VM, was from a previous MBP model (MacBookPro8,3), but that didn't stop the SystemInformation from identifying my VM as MacBookPro11,5. Which means that the serial number is not that important in the model identification at least... And changing it to the new serial number, also had no effect in the iCloud logging process.

This is the first one I would try to set, although I doubt it is enough.

Even if for your test it did not help, I would use the same serial number, perhaps iCloud needs a combination of parameters that must match together.

Yes, I saw this, alone it did not help, but my theory is that we need a set of variables to match, and I'm pretty convinced that the serial number is one of them.

The Parallels VM, compared with the host (this runs on a MBP, not the same Mini), looks like:

I don't know what you mean by 'burp' in this context, as I also do not know what 'a serious D.U.E.' is.

With the settings shown in the previous message, the 10.10 Parallels VM connects to iCloud without problems.

With only the serial number set, the 10.10 VirtualBox fails with the error shown in:

If you do not have a functional iCloud configuration, or do not want to share it, better say it explicitly.
