I'm running a Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan guest in a Windows 8.1 host. I have two problems:
1. The guest has no sound whatsoever. When I try to select an audio output device, it says that there is none.
2. When I try to install an update and it tells me to restart, I restart but when it boots back into the OS, the update still isn't installed.
Any way to fix either of these issues?
No sound in Mac OS X guest and can't install updates. Help?

Post the guests log file ( as an attachment ). Right click on the guest in the Main Manager then click show log. Save and post as an attachment. Compress if it is too large to post.

You do not have an OSX Host, you have a Windows Host, and unfortunately OSX guests are only supported on Apple hardware (which you do not have). See: Mac OS X guest on a Windows Host.
