iPhone not seen in High Sierra guest

Post by DirkKn »

Hi,

i installed High Sierra in a virtualbox guest machine. All works fine beside the connection of my iPhone to this guest.
It's possible to attach it via filter to the system, but it's not usable inside the virtual machine with itunes or the Apple Configurator.

How can i fix that?
Thanks Dirk

  • Start the VM from cold-boot (not from a paused or saved state) / Observe error / Shutdown the VM.
  • With the VM completely shut down (not paused or saved), right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager and select "Show Log".
  • Save only the first "VBox.log", ZIP it and attach it to your response (see the "Upload attachment" tab below the reply form).
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

You do not have an OSX Host, you have a Windows Host, and unfortunately OSX guests are only supported on Apple hardware (which you do not have). See: Mac OS X guest on a Windows Host.
