I downloaded OSX Mavericks ISO image and configured the DVD as the boot device on Settings->System page (tried DVD with SATA and IDE controller). When I start my Virtual machine, it does not boot, showing me a console prompt like 'Shell>', see the screenshot: developernote(dot)com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/osx-vm.png.
What can I do with it?
If I disable EFI it also does not boot, when I press Enter, it returns to the original screen: developernote(dot)com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/osx-vm1.png

Hello!
I cannot figure out what for do I need 'Create OSX ISO from the OSX Install app as starter' if I already have ISO?
Should I use iBoot?

Post the guests log file ( as an attachment ). Right click on the guest in the Main Manager then click show log. Save and post as an attachment. Compress if it is too large to post.

Apple does not supply an ISO for Mavericks, just an APP.cvx@yandex.ru wrote:I downloaded OSX Mavericks ISO image
Where did you acquire your ISO?

Re: Mac OS X does not boot on Virtual Box
I got the link to ISO from this manual: url deleted by mod, the link to ISO is: url deleted by mod. After that I downloaded filename deleted by mod from some torrent and at least it started to install with iBoot, but the installation hags up (looks like it is something related to the hard drive). What is the right way to get OS X installation disk?
