OS X Sierra on Linux host video trouble

I have a question. My macOS installed perfectly with my given host, and it runs decently, except that it only gives 3mb of VRAM to the guest, despite my allocating 128 for it. My question is basically whether or not I can fix this and how. My host is Linux Mint 17 and the guest is macOS X Sierra.
