I have El Capitan Virtual Box and would like to upgrade it to Sierra OS. Is there a way to upgrade only?
Tx.

Re: Upgrade VirtualBox from El Capitan to Sierra OS
I'm not sure I understand the question.
- Please state your host OS and complete, detailed version. Ex. OSX 10.9.5, build 13f1911.
- Do the same for the guest.
- Do the same for VirtualBox, ex. Version 5.1.19 r114236 (Qt5.6.2).
- And then tell us which of the three you want to upgrade; your host, your guest or your VirtualBox.

Re: Upgrade VirtualBox from El Capitan to Sierra OS
OK, I'm really new with this.
I hope this answers your question:
My PC has Windows 10 OS.
I have a VirtualBox installed on it, version 5.1.18 r 114002 (Qt 5.6.2) that has El Capitan OS.
I need Sierra OS instead of El Capitan (in order to install XCODE).

Is your hardware Apple based or not?
Moving to "OSX Guests" from "OSX Hosts".

I thought so, I just wanted to make sure before I lock the thread.
OSX installs are only supported on Apple hardware. See: Important notice regarding Mac OS X as Guest.
