Please post a VM log file. With the VM fully shut down, right click and "Show Log" in the GUI, save "VBox.log" (ONLY) to a zip, and attach the zip here.

I'm finding it difficult to be sure if you are talking about updating the guest or the host or both, and maybe VirtualBox too. I suspect that the error may be something to do with saving the state of a VM and then starting up on a different host. Discard any saved states associated with the VM.

On a separate matter, I notice that you have 3D acceleration enabled in this VM. You might as well disable this, since there are no Guest Additions available (for OS X guests) to make use of 3D acceleration.

• How did you install 10.11 on the VM? Full details please...
• What happens if you restore one of your previous snapshots? Does it boot?
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

No, host is the some

J clone machine, current state to another and nothing.

Can you give me the link? As far as I know you cannot buy the El Capitan ISO. For two reasons: 1) it's not for sale because it's free and 2) there is no El Capitan ISO, not from Apple at least. There's a DMG installer that needs special "massage" to turn it into an ISO.

Possible? You're not sure? Do you see a problem with that "rename" action? If you changed it to MP4 would you expect to see a movie? Extensions have a purpose. If you changed it from DMG to ISO, expect trouble. So, please, make sure of what you did. It's really important...

PS. The Apple article in English: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202161

Can you right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager, select "Show in Finder", ZIP the selected ".vbox" file and attach it in your response?
