10.6 (Snow Leopard) on 10.10 using virtual box.

Postby UniVer » 4. May 2016, 00:40

Hey all,

I've been attempting to install 10.6 on 10.10 in the virtualbox environment. Did some googling:

The latest version of virtual box boots but gives an error. So i used virtualbox(dot)org/wiki/Download_Old_Builds specifically build VirtualBox-4.1.18-78361

has anyone successfully installed 10.6 on 10.10 using virtual box?

  1. These instructions are for Windows systems. If you have OSX 10.10, you are doing it wrong.
  2. What's your Mac model? Exactly, so we can lookup the year and specifications.
  3. Where did you get your 10.6 client? Do you know the exact version?
  4. 4.1.18 is way too old for 10.10.
  5. What's the exact error message? Post a screenshot if you have to. Look at the "Upload attachment" at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
