Snow Leopard on Newer Mac Mini

Can I install Mac OS Snow Leopard in VirtualBox on an early 2014 Mac Mini? The Mac Mini has a 2.3 gHZ Intel Core i7, 64 bit and 8 GB RAM. I will have a thunderbolt external hard drive if Snow Leopard wants a separate hard drive. The Mac Mini is currently running Mavericks which I would like to upgrade to El Capitan. I need Snow Leopard to run older software not compatible with El Capitan and Mavericks.
