[Solved] Installing WIn 8.1 on Yosemite

Trying to install Win 8.1 on an iMac.
It worked well up to the piont the Windows was installing, the blue window showed up for a few seconds and the process terminated.

IS IT POSSIBLY SO THAT THE VIRTUALBOX CANNOT INSTALL ON YOSEMITE?

For starts you *must* select the right template. You say you want to install Windows 8.1 but you are using Windows XP_64 template and that just won't work.

The trick is that one must state Win 8.1 64 twice. I did id only once:-)

No trick if you select the right guest the first time. That's why they have the templates.
