Hi,
i'm trying to increase the size of the disk inside a Maverick guest to accomodate some downloads, but i'm having trouble. I am running aWindows 7 host, wtih a Niresh (maverick OS) guest.
What i have done:
- Increase the size of the VDI from 10 to 20 GB with the command "vboxmanage modifyhd <volume> --resize 20G
This worked, after a few tries. Initially, i still saw 10 GB when selecting it????
-Start the VM
-Try to increase the size of the logical volume on the disk.
This did not work:
- The disk manager did not offer the tab to resize partitions
- Creating a 25 GB clone VDI did not resolve the issue i'm having.
- The commandline disk utility shows the 25 GB volume, but tells me i cannot resize the logical partition on the volume:
Creating a bigger, cloned VDI did not work, i still get the 10 GB logical volume on the clone.
Short of creating a second logical partition or re-installing Niresh entirely, how do i get a bigger partition on my VDI?
Can't resize volume on Maverick guest.
