I am trying to install Snow Leopard Server 10.6.3 in vb on my Mac Mini running Mavericks. When I install It get's partially through the boot phase and a fatal error occurs.
The log file contains a few of ERROR lines but not sure if some are normal or not.
EDIT: I am running vb version 4.3.10 r93012
Any assistance would be appreciated.
thanks,
Tyson

Re: Unable to install Snow Leopard
You're getting a "Guru Meditation Fault" (VINF_EM_TRIPLE_FAULT). Not good. A couple of suggestions:
- Change the guest version to "Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (64 bit)".
- Try to lower your guest memory to 1024 or 1576 MB at the most. I vaguely remember an issue with SL and 2048 MB. Maybe it has been fixed.

Re: Unable to install Snow Leopard
Mac OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 as host, running VB 4.3.10 r93012. Made a Snow Leopard server 64-bit VM with 1024 using Apple's install disc. Same exact error as above.

Re: Unable to install Snow Leopard
Do you have Nested Paging enabled in the VBox settings under System > Acceleration? If so, try disabling it and see if it works.

The logs are saying that you're using 2048 MB RAM.erikbojerik wrote:with 1024 using Apple's install disc.

For Guru Meditation errors, you should head to the bugtracker and either search for an appropriate bug (where you'll attach your logs and other vital information), or open a new bug report.
