I have a nice MacBook Air running Mavericks, but since it doesn't run all my old programs, I installed Snow Leopard as a VirtualBox. This is a regular Snow Leopard install disc, not a server version. I install it from the CD and it all goes just fine. It's all great until I run Software Update. After updating to 10.6.8, I cannot boot this machine. Early in the boot, I get the message
A critical error has occurred while running the virtual machine and the machine execution has stopped.

This did not happen when running it on my Mac Pro, also running Mavericks. So there must be something about the MacBook Air. It was fine before the update.
I would have added the log file, but it was too big. If you'd like parts of it, let me know what.
In the meantime, no software update for me on this machine.
