Disc in optical drive not recognized?

Post by filmboy »

This is very strange. I'm running Leopard on a MacBook Pro Lion host, and I can open files on a CD-ROM I've inserted into my optical drive, and I can see the CD-ROM icon on my Desktop, but when I try to run an application that requires that CD-ROM, the application tells me to insert the disc even though it's already there. Has anyone else had this problem?

Maybe the application has a copy protection, which would be trigger in the VM. You would need to use pass-through mode
