Hi,
I am trying to install Mac OS Snow Leopard(guest OS) on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (host OS) PC. I have AMD processor that supports virtualization (i have double checked it). In order to do so, I have to install Mac OSX86 first and then I can upgrade it with Mac OS Snow Leopard. I learnt this method from one of the most recommended way from online technical forums.
I was successful in installing OSx86 but after the completion the OS doesn't boot from my virtual harddrive (.vdi file). It doesn't boot without ISO file set to my CD-ROM and always goes to installation process. When I check size of my virtual harddrive, it shows that I have some files installed on it and it matches to the OS space required (6.1GB). So, I believe installation works well.
Also, I am aware that after installing OS , I should remove path for ISO file from CD-ROM and instead attach to actual CD-ROM. I have installed and ran many linux OSs before on VirtualBox so I am not new to this.
Thanks for reading and any feedback is appreciated.
PS: if you are willing to know the process I am talking about, please see this link,

Bhavin

After you have installed Mac OS X, you need to enable VBox EFI and eject CD-ROM.

@ Technologv: Thanks for the response. I tried one more time and it worked out normally!!! I think it there are some changes in VB3.2.4 version compared to my previous attempts on VB 3.2.2
FYI, previously when I tried on 3.2.2 with EFI option ON, my virtualbox used to crash on me.

Is this running on Mac hardware or non-Mac hardware?

Apple doesn't use AMD, so you're running on non-supported systems. We won't and can't discuss that here.mehtab wrote:I have AMD processor
