dmg not recognized

Post by gigapackiii »

Hi all,

I have a .dmg file with is not recognized in the virtual OSX, but works fine in the "real' OSX. But many other dmg files work in the virtual OSX. What could be the reason?
Thanks

Sorry, I forgot to turn on my HDD recorder when you were working, so I can't exactly see what you did. My crystal ball isn't working either, so I guess you need to provide some more information, as we ask in the Forum Posting Guide.
Read the Forum Posting Guide before opening a topic.
VirtualBox FAQ: Check this before asking questions.
Online User Manual: A must read if you want to know what we're talking about.

See the Tutorials and FAQ section at the top of the Forum for more guides.
Try searching the forums first with Google and add the site filter for this forum.

If it's throwing an error while trying to mount DMG's then delete these files and relog/restart

Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.frameworks.diskimages.uiagent
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.diskimages.fsck

If that doesn't help or you're trying to mount a DMG over an smb share i'm betting on user error and you'll need to be much more specific with your help request.
