While searching the Web for running OS X on VirtualBox I came across a few articles mentioning experimental support of Snow Leopard on VirtualBox 2.2.0, e.g.:

Have any improvements been made since 2.2.0? Will it be possible to install Snow Leopard on VirtualBox and if yes, when?

Sorry wrong way around. Virtualbox box will support running on snow leopard. Not running snowleopard.
It's very unlikely that sun will support something that is against apples end user license. At least up to leopard that forbids running OSX in a virtual machine.

also can we keep support requests to RELEASED operating systems, we don't want more windows7-type threads.

Apple DOES allows the virtualization of OS X Server running on a Mac host. I am currently doing this legally in VMWare Fusion. VirtualBox simply needs to add this functionality to their OS X Host version. It is not against Apple's SLA. In fact, Apple sells (through the Apple Stores and online) VMWare and Parallels Desktop, both of which support this functionality. If it were a problem, they (Apple) would not be endorsing them.
The problem is that certain people want to use PC's and run OS X. If you want OS X so bad (I do understand why) buy a Mac. Simple.
