Mac OS Ventura on Windows 11 LOOP

Post by Boeltus12 »

- VirtualBox and Extension Pack both 7.0.6 - No Guest Additions
- Host: Windows 11 64 bit 450GB (total) - Guest: Mac OS Ventura 64 bit 256GB
- Ventura ISO created using an iMac, downloading from App Store

Quite some time after the installation of the OS has started, all the progress done is lost and script is shown once again (just as the first time we run the VM). Once here, it starts a loop of its own, in which it keeps showing

Code: Select all

The system was automatically rebooted after panic
After some repetitions it proceeds once again to the Mac OS recovery screen, and the process starts again.
The length of each loop isn’t constant; sometimes there are more repetitions than others.

I’ve read that a possible solution is provided with the command

Code: Select all

VBoxManage setextradata “VM Name””VBoxInternal/TM/YSCMode””RealTSCOffset”
(alternatively I’ve also read adding .exe to VBoxManage). It didn’t work.

Another solution I read was reducing the number of CPUs, which I did (from 4) to 1 and then to 2. It also didn’t work.

Attached I include every file in the Log folder.

It’s possible that I made mistakes using technical terms, for I’m not experienced with this stuff. For any additional (or not understood from what I said) information, do tell and I’ll share it.

A Mac guest is only allowed if the physical computer is real Apple hardware.
OSX guests on non-Apple hardware

Your PC is not an Apple computer, so regrettably, we cannot help.

PS for future VMs we can help with, the physical computer is the 'host' and the VM's OS is the 'guest'. So this would have been a Mac Guests question, because the OS inside the VM is Mac.
