Re: Acceleration Settings on High Sierra
That error message is somewhat misleading. If the "Enable Nested Paging" box was checked before, re-check it, it's not what the error is about.
I was not aware that Mac computers had this problem, but on PCs, the error refers to VT-x being off in the computer's BIOS. See I have a 64bit host, but can't install 64bit guests, post 1. Note that if your Mac cannot enable VT-x you won't be able to run 6.1.x Virtualbox. You'll have to drop back to 6.0.x.

Re: Acceleration Settings on High Sierra
On a Mac host this problem probably means "M1 processor". I've added a section about this to the FAQ.

Re: Acceleration Settings on High Sierra
There has never been a version of VirtualBox for MacOS hosts that didn't require VT-x for all guests: so on a Mac, 5.x and 6.0 are exactly the same as 6.1 in this regard.Cancelly wrote:I tried to drop back to 6.0 but THERE its the one that cant run vt-x, guess im out of luck for now
