Hello,
I am a newbie to VirtualBox and have a similar question, please.
I have a MacPro 2x Dual core 1.1 machine with 28 gig ram, which i intend to upgrade to 2x quad cores 2.1 and has a 1 gig video card
Would it be possible to run a later edition of macOS than El Capitan?
If it can't be done through Virtual Box, is there any other options, please?
I only want this to run the music software, Logic Pro X, but a later edition. Which I have on another Mac machine with only 8 GB of ram.
Any help would be gratefully received, and please tell me in simple layman talk. I can upgrade hardware, but my software understanding, beyond installing operating systems, in limited. And thank you
Will MacOS work in VirtualBox through Windows, on Apple Hardware?

Please clarify if you are referring to updating the OS on the host computer or the Virtualbox VM.Marc2021 wrote:Would it be possible to run a later edition of macOS than El Capitan?
If on the host computer, that would be the subject of a web-search.
If on the VM a Mac guru will have to weigh in, but it would not be hard to find out, just try it.
