Unusably slow on Mojave?

Post by sudokillall »

I have Ubuntu installed in a VM on my imac. It's a high spec machine with bags of ram and powerful processor. the VM environment is DOG slow, constant hangs, takes 10-20 seconds to drag a window around the screen and basic stuff like that. I have assigned nearly all my system's RAM and CPU to the VM but still the same. Any suggestions appreciated. thanks

Provide a VM log. Make sure the VM is fully shut down, then right click it in the manager UI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

Thank you. Can I ask if there are any privacy implications with the log? Do I need to edit it to remove any personal or sensitive information?

If you edit the log then I for one will not review it.

I wish it were otherwise, but the log contains information about your PC, and about the VM config. Nothing about your financial details.
