Re: No SOUND in Big sur guest and linux host
What model Mac are you using to run Linux?
I see you have configured 6 CPUs but only have 4 physical - You should lower that to 4 virtual, or even 3 virtual.
Does audio work on your Linux installation? Some Mac hardware (e.g. iMac 18,3) it seems to be impossible to get audio working in Linux.
You should also have a read of OSX guests on non-Apple hardware

Thank's for the reply, i'm using pop os to run big sur in virtualbox, and i have 8 cpus but it does recommend going down to 4 so i did that and it still doesn't output any audio and still says it no output devices found in audio preferences. and the audio does work on the linux host.

I see you didn't answer about the model of Mac hardware you are using. Your log shows you are NOT using a Mac so a moderator will be along soon to lock this thread.

Linux is an OS family, software not hardware. The log shows that the host is a Dell G5. Topic locked.
