Glad to have been of assistance!

One thing to consider, if it is possible to revert everything, is that an older computer dedicated to a [particular purpose and kept off the internet can be super-stable for years. Maybe your DAW can have a dedicated older Mac?, then run the devices on the main OS without Virtualbox.

@scottgus - No, only have the one Mac I'm afraid.
