I have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2012) running macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.6 (17G3025)
The host macOS is managed by my employer's IT department and includes many offensive things such as DLP, virus scanners, firewall restrictions and other such stuff.
I am running El Capitan in VirtualBox 5.2.22 along with the local-only 'Internal Network' configuration to interact with a Ubuntu 18.04 LTS guest to do networking and security experiments.
I am getting a LOT of video flickering and such. Are there 'better' drivers to be used in the macOS VB guest use case?

No, there are no Guest Additions (e.g. including accelerated graphics) for OS X guests.
