virtio-net for Solaris

Hi, I happened upon a web page showing the C source code of a VirtioNet-solaris inside the 4.1.8 branch:

Does this mean there is finally an implementation driver of virtio-net for Solaris guests??
Solaris guests suffer of slow network performance, this would be a very nice feature.
I tried installing 4.1.8 and enabling a virtio-net interface on the guest, but Solaris doesn't detect it.
How to make it work? or is it still a work in progress?

That code is far from complete and I got diverted into other tasks. Currently it's very low priority as there is virtually no demand for such a feature. We'd much rather focus on improving our entire networking code performance than just virtio.
