error with version 4.1.8

For the past several vbox versions, I have had my boot archive become corrupted when I installed the latest Solaris additions, leading sometimes to complete virtual disk corruption. This is becoming a MAJOR problem. I don't know if this is related to Ehab's issue. Could someone please let me know if the following additions remove/install procedure is wrong?

Running Sol 10 u8 x64 on a Win7 x64 host, core i7 980x Gulftown processor. VM has 4096 base mem, 4 processors selected, PAE/NX, VT-X, nested paging, 1 display with 32 MB vram, with 3d acceleration enabled.

pkgrm SUNWvboxguest
"install guest additions" from mini menu - virtual CD appears on Solaris desktop
cd /cdrom/cdrom0
pkgadd -G -d ./*pkg
reboot

When installing 4.1.6 additions to replace 4.1.4, the disk got corrupted but I was able to fsck my way out of it.

I cannot install 4.1.8 Solaris additions no matter what. I went back several snapshots to the state when 4.1.4 additions were installed, but still 4.1.8 won't work. I get timeouts and read sector errors with Gen-ATA and vn_rdwr failed with error 0x5. Disk is corrupted, requiring fsck.

Please help.

It concerns me that Oracle will not even bother replying to this...

What happens in my guest is that when I mount the guest additions iso in my virtual CD drive, my JDS desktop starts getting very sluggish and unresponsive, often necessitating a quest power off. And that is BEFORE I update the guest additions. Does anyone know what could cause that?

After installing 4.1.8 Solaris GA, when I reboot I get

svc:/system/filesystem/local:default: WARNING: /sbin/mountall -l failed: exit at status 33

The VB guys were off for a week and now they are moving servers and getting things setup at Oracle. I know ramshankar would answer if he had the time.
You can make a ticket on bugtracker. Maybe they will see that faster.
