Sun won't install on Sun VBox?

My host is an HP Compaq 6510b running Vista Business SP2 (32 bit OS). I've tried repeatedly to install both Solaris and OpenSolaris in VirtualBox 3.0.8. Solaris gives an odd string of [['s and 0's when I try to select 0 for English during install. The install will not proceed past this point. With OpenSolaris, I get to the console login. If I wait for the default console u/n and p/w, the screen flashes and loops back to the same place. If I enter the default console u/n (jack) the install hangs there and doesn't ask for console p/w to be entered. Install hangs in all instances.

Perhaps you can give us some information like the amount of host ram and the settings you are using for the guest?
