Hi All,
I am facing an issue with version 6.1.4 r136177 (Qt5.6.2). I installed it, enabled the virtualization in BIOS then Windows 64bit became available in the OS list. I installed it, but after restart my Machine (not the VDI) the option to create a new Windows 64bit is not available anymore. I tried to uninstall, remove register, path, etc but nothing is working. Please find below my current configuration:
-> Windows Hyper-V is disabled (unchecked)
-> Virtualization BIOS is enabled
-: CPU virtualization is enabled (checked in task manager)
-> No Issues during reinstall vmbox
I tried all the suggestions in this forum but nothing is working.
Please find below my machine information:
-> Lenovo T440
-> Windows 10 Enterprise Version 1703 OS Build 15063.2108
-> Virtual Box Version 6.1.4 r136177 (Qt5.6.2)
Any idea about what is happening?
Thanks.

If 64bits is not available then you did not follow all the steps. Believe me, I've had this conversation many times before.
Re: Windows 10 64bit Not Available
Hi Mpack,
First of all thank you very much for the support.
Please find below the steps performed, do you know if I missed something?
1 -> Enable Intel VT-x in BIOS
2 -> Power Off with no battery
3 -> Disable Windows Hyper-V
4 -> Disable Windows Containers
5 -> Disable Windows Subystems for Linux
6 -> Disable Turn on Virtualization Based Security
7 -> Turn off Core Isolation Details
8 -> Execute as administrator in prompt bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off
9 -> Power Off with no battery
The windows features Application Guard, Virtual Machine Platform, Windows Hypervisor Platform, Windows Sandbox and Windows Server Containers are not available in my Windows version.
It is strange because it works once, then after restart the host machine with no configuration change it stops to work. I have attached the logs as well.
Thanks again.

Re: Windows 10 64bit Not Available
The VBox.log file shows that you didn't succeed in enabling VT-X. Additionally, you do not have any Hyper-V problem.VBox.log file wrote:00:00:03.319472 WARNING! 64-bit guest type selected but the host CPU does NOT support HW virtualization. [...] 00:00:03.350139 HM: HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM: VT-x is not available 00:00:03.350410 NEM: NEMR3Init: Native init failed: VERR_NEM_NOT_AVAILABLE. 00:00:03.351563 VT-x is not available (VERR_VMX_NO_VMX)}, preserve=false aResultDetail=-4009
You should research how to enable VT-X permanently for your machine. BTW, which CPU does your machine have? Does it provide VT-X at all (search for your CPU on ark.intel.com)?

Re: Windows 10 64bit Not Available
The Thinkpad T440 should have fourth gen Intel Core processors, so it should be available in the processors. The BIOS is a different matter!
This document might help. (You only need VT-x. You do not need VT-d.)

Hi BillG / fth0,
Thank you very much for the comments. I have attached the image of the windows features of my machine and the CPU screen showing that the virtualization is enabled.
Do you have any idea about what is happening?
Thanks again

Re: Windows 10 64bit Not Available
At least it confirms that you have a 4th Gen i7 and hardware virtualization is enabled!
The real question is what happened when you rebooted the host, and VirtualBox couldn't see it anymore.

Yes I think this is a bug. I have opened a bug ticket as well:
