I can't shared file to win 98 guest

Post by animeMangaGame »

I open shared drive in Run box:

Code: Select all

net use x: \\vboxsrv\Download
It has problem:
Error 53: The computer name specified in the network path cannot be located.
Make sure you are specifying the computer name correctly, or try again later when the remote computer is available.

You are trying to use Guest Additions shared folders, but there are no GAs for Win98 which also means that you can't have installed any.

If you just want to get files into the Win98 guest then try using the "ad hoc ISO" (VISO) feature instead (see Devices|Optical menu in the running VM). This allows you to treat a host folder as a virtual data CD. There are limits: don't expect to modify the folder contents while the VM is running. Don't expect CDs to be writable.
