I have a Windows virtual machine mounted over a Fedora Linux, I have created a virtual hard disk where I am storing my operating system, also I have a vmdk file pointing to a physical partition where I am storing my personal files, I am working in my virtual machine, and virtualbox unexpectedly removes my vmdk file. So I have to shut down my virtual machine and start over again.
How can i solve this?

Re: Vmdk unexpectedly is removed from virtual machine
I'm sorry, but what does that mean? How is it "removed"? Gone from the Details pane? Are you sure you don't have any snapshots that you revert to?Yodanielo wrote:and virtualbox unexpectedly removes my vmdk file
I would like to see the "recipe" of the VM, the ".vbox" file:
- Right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager. Select "Show in Finder/Explorer/Whatever".
- ZIP the selected ".vbox" file and attach it to your response.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
