USB Device Incorrectly Identified

I have a USB device I have been using successfully with a Windows 10 guest on a Linux host for a while, but recently it has not been correctly identified by the host when I try to use it. I can see that it is detected as it appears as two HID devices, but the software that reads it cannot find it. This may be due to a change in VBox as I recently upgraded to the latest version, but I have also updated Windows. The reader software has not changed.

Distro forks of VirtualBox are not supported here. Also there is no guarantee that the extension pack will work with forks. If you want to continue using the fork you'll need to ask for support on the Ubuntu forums. Otherwise download an install VirtualBox from the downloads page of this site.
