"Auto-resize Guest Display" not working correctly

Post by pou1 »

Hi,

I have updated my Virtual-Box Version from 5.2.18 to 6.0.6 . The host is GNOME on a Redhat el7 (3.10.0-957.12.1.el7.x86_64), and the Guest is Win10.

On the Virtual-Box 5.2.18 I had stability issues. Now and then, both, the guest and host would freeze, and I had to shut down the guest. Other than that it was running fine.

In Virtual-Box 6.0.6 (+ guest additions) I have now a different issue:
When I go to full-screen mode, and I activate "Auto-resize Guest Display", the screen nicely takes up the full monitor space. However, the menus become nonresponsive. For example: if I click the windows symbol in the lower left corner, the start menu is not opening. However, two rows of icons on the desktop seem to get selected. If I push the windows key on the keyboard, the start menu opens, but I cannot launch the programs using the mouse. Furthermore the icons on the desktop also become nonresponsive. I can only get normal behavior again, by getting out of the full-screen mode. A similar behavior also appears when going into "Seamless Mode".

Thanks a lot
Manuel
