shared folders and VirtualBox 6.x

Post by bookevg »

Hi!
It's my first topic.
My problem appeared after installing VirtualBox 6.x (beta, RC, test builds, release).
My host OS is W10 LSTB 1607.
My guest OS is W7 Pro SP1.
The problem link lost to shared folders after starting my saving guest OS. Host OS also start after shutdown.
The restart guest OS didn't help. The problem was gone after shutdown guest OS and start it.
W7 use shared folders as net drive.
Thanks.

I noticed that the missed shared folders of host have duplicates.

Sometimes net disks of \\virtualbox are absent after restoring VM from saving state.

This appears to be an issue with the shared folders when using saved states. A ticket #18373 Multiple copies of shared folders has been opened for this. As you stated in your original post, booting the guest from cold seems to resolve the issue.
