Tell me about it! They just recently (1803?) changed the default output from stereo to 5.1 surround. VirtualBox didn't have an output ready for that, so no sound could be heard, they had to rush the implementation.

But losing the whole freaking sound card? That's an evil one, even for MS...

There are quite a few people with the problem. I don't think it's Virtualbox at fault, but MS. Physical boxes are having problems. I'd post the link but it's on tenforums. Apparently my new username won't work. ugh...

I'm gonna just go back a build. Should I cancel my bug out?

Obfuscate it and I'll fix it for you. Just replace the dots with spaces... ;)

No, not until it's satisfactory resolved. The resolution can simply be "Don't use Win10 build 18928", so that anyone hitting that build by accident will know...

Just google "Tenforums 18298 forums" and it's first hit. Last few pages cover it pretty good.

I read somewhere that 18305 cures this problem. I have been unable to install 18305 as it fails and restores 18298. I suppose that a later build will contain the same fix so am waiting to see if it does.

Edit, I can't close the bug, so someone else will need to. This forum topic can even be marked resolved if that is a thing.

@paul.stejskal
It can be marked as such, but I hope that you won't mind if I do it after I get a 2nd confirmation about Win10-18305.

Well since I can't mark it, I have no choice. I don't blame you though.

Updating to build 18305.1003 seems to have solved that problem.

There are a lot of other problems associated with a push by MS to force users to use OneDrive.
No system repair disc being made workable.
Advanced start-up total confusion and does not work.
