I've been using virtualbox on a laptop running Ubuntu for some years but something has changed in the last weeks which is really annoying.
Perhaps 1 time in 4 or 1 time in 5, a Windows 10 guest will hang after the laptop goes through a suspend/resume cycle.
It's not the version of Ubuntu as I've upgraded that to bionic since this started and it didn't make a difference.
In almost all cases, the last entry in VBox.log is this (with different times as appropriate).
20:29:26.677756 Pausing VM execution, reason 'host suspend'
20:29:26.677834 Changing the VM state from 'RUNNING' to 'SUSPENDING'
The only variation I've seen is this one.
15:29:05.084177 Pausing VM execution, reason 'host suspend'
15:29:05.084470 Changing the VM state from 'RUNNING' to 'SUSPENDING'
17:02:24.638608 GUI: UIMachineView::sltPerformGuestResize: Sending guest size-hint to screen 0 as 640x480 if necessary
17:02:24.638688 VMMDev: SetVideoModeHint: Got a video mode hint (640x480x32)@(0x0),(1;0) at 0
17:02:27.099494 GUI: UIMachineView::sltPerformGuestResize: Sending guest size-hint to screen 0 as 1600x782 if necessary
I'm on Version 5.2.22 r126460 (Qt5.9.5) if that makes any difference.
Is this something I should just report as a bug? Is there anything I can do to make a bug report more useful / more likely to be looked at?
Thanks in advance
