Beforehand, I have all Wifi drivers installed and have tried using NAT and Bridged Adaptor for networking a lot.
For some reason, no matter what it will still work with Bing but that's all that works, going to google, the default homepage, etc. doesn't work. On the virtualbox itself it says that it has internet connection but it still doesn't connect to webpages. Any suggestions?

Use a more modern browser. Internet Explorer in XP is way out of date and later versions will not run in XP.

Your problem is not "Windows Hosts" related, it's "Windows Guests" related, moving accordingly.
And in the same "Windows Guests" section, there's a sticky "No internet for a WinXP guest". Read it.
