Problems with audio under recent Insider builds of Win 10 (#17942)

Post by lukaszgo1 »

ModEdit; related ticket: #17942: Audio is almost unusable on Windows 10 Insider builds, when they are cleanly installed.
Hi everybody,
I am using Insider builds of Windows 10 running as Virtual Box vms. I am also relying exclusively on the audio produced by the special software called screen reader to be able to interact with a pc at all. When the Windows 10 is upgraded to the recent builds everything works fine, but when they are cleanly installed, or the reset is performed from settings; update and security; recovery; reset this PC the sound becomes no longer understandable. I've checked, that on the physical machines and on the VMWare vms the problem isn't happening, so it is probably a Virtual Box bug. I am attaching the logs from the vm before and after the reset with audio debug enabled.
I've also opened issue at VB bug tracker number 17942 but no responses there.
The audio dumped from the vm is available at the issue linked above.
It is really critical for me, because when October update will be released i and other blind people will not be able to install it to VBox vms and use it independently.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
