[Solved] Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Windows 7

I just upgraded to 5.2.18 along with the matching extensions pack. Trying to launch Windows 7 on my Mac but getting that error message.

The VM session was closed before any attempt to power it on.

I tried downgrading again to the last version and service pack but i'm still getting the same error.

I fixed this by removing the last saved state and restarting Virtual Box. Working now. Hope this helps someone else.
