VirtualBox is working great for me (couldn't be happier actually, after seeing such sluggish performance on VMWare & Parallels), but there's one thing I can't quite figure out: My "virtual" network adapter in the windows guest will only connect at 10mbs, instead of 100mbs which I want it to be connecting at. Granted I'm not moving huge files yet, but it would be nice to bump it up since I have a samba share going to my Linux host.
Does anyone know how to accomplish this? Or is windows is reporting the speed incorrectly? I've tried bumping up to 100mbs duplex in the driver config (in Windows) and no luck.
Thanks

Ignore it - connection is faster than reported
I would post an image here if I could figure out how to attach it.
In short - ignore that 10Mbit/s limit, as Windows does
Try this :

In short - ignore that 10Mbit/s limit, as Windows does
Try this :
- Bring up Task Manager
- Change to Networking Tab
- Go to View Menu
- Select "Select Columns..."
- Ensure the bottom two tickboxes on the LHS are selected (ie: Bytes sent + received per interval)
- Click OK
- Maintain Task Manager open (and visible) whilst doing this next step
- Visit your host's SMB share (typically 10.0.2.2), and copy a large file to / from it. (Try Start --> run --> type "start \\10.0.2.2" --> press enter)
- Observe what Task Manager says is in the Bytes sent (or received) per second column.
